Barvinok, Lubystok, Troyanda

Barvinok has three dance ensembles called Barvinok, Lubystok, and Troyanda

Barvinok

The Barvinok Ensemble currently has 24 dancers, ranging in age from 18 to 29 years. Each of these dedicated dancers has been dancing for at least five to ten years. Most started their dance careers with Barvinok at the young age of five. Others have joined us from other dance organizations.

The majority of the dancers are students pursuing post-secondary education. Some travel back to town on weekends just to attend practices. They receive no pay for their efforts, but dance merely for the love of dance. The Barvinok Ensemble rehearses 3 hours per week, with extra time needed in preparation for special performances.

Their dedication and love of dance create a vibrant, energy-filled performance on stage. We are very proud of their accomplishments and we thank them for their love of dance.

Lubystok

The Lubystok Ensemble currently has 28 dancers, ranging in age from 18 to 26 years. Each of these dedicated dancers has been dancing for at least five to ten years. Most started their dance careers with Barvinok at the young age of six.

The dancers are students are either in high school or pursuing post-secondary education. They receive no pay for their efforts, and entry into this Ensemble is by audition only. The Lubystok Ensemble rehearses 3 hours per week, with extra time needed in preparation for special performances.

We are very proud of their accomplishments, their dedication and we thank them for their desire to continue the heritage of Ukrainian dance.

Troyanda

The Troyanda Ensemble currently has 24 dancers, ranging in age from 16 to 20 years. Each of these dedicated dancers has been dancing for at least five to ten years. Most started their dance careers with Barvinok at the young age of six.

The dancers are students are either in high school or pursuing post-secondary education. They receive no pay for their efforts, and entry into this Ensemble is by audition only. The Troyanda Ensemble rehearses 3 hours per week, with extra time needed in preparation for special performances.

Troyanda performs at many events susch as weddings, community events, multicultural festivals etc. This is a grpup that we are planning to organize a euro tourr in the near future. We are very proud of their accomplishments, their dedication and we thank them for their desire to continue the heritage of Ukrainian dance.
